About RPG Research
RPG Research is a 100% unpaid volunteer-run 501(c)3 non-profit charitable human services organization providing research and community programs globally and beyond.
RPG Research provides the world's largest free and open archives on the effects and uses of all role-playing game formats, with the roots of our founding in the 1970s!
We provide role-playing game community programs for all ages and abilities around the world.
We provide free training related to the Certified Role-Playing Game Professional workshops and training programs to our volunteers (this training costs more than $20,000 USD at other organizations).RPG Research's founder, Hawke Robinson, is known as "The Grandfather of Therapeutic Gaming" because he has been studying the effects and uses of role-playing games longer than anyone else (since the 1970s). He is also the creator of:
- The Wheelchair Accessible RPG Mobile Fleet of Buses, Trailers, etc.
- RPG Therapeutics LLC
- The Role-Playing Game Professional training programs, workshops, diplomas, and certifications.

Basics on using the Wiki
Use the button above to edit this page and start customizing your wiki to your needs.
Use the button above to add more pages to your wiki and create the hierarchy that best organizes your content.
Use the breadcrumbs located above the title to navigate inside your pages. It's easy to get lost in a big wiki without them.
You can also use the Sandbox for more demo content and generally a place to experiment with your wiki's features.
Learn more on how to use XWiki with the Getting Started Guide.
NOTE: THIS PAGE AND ALL LINKED CONTENT IS BEING MOVED TO THE FIFTH VERSION OF OUR PUBLIC KNOWLEDGEBASE RESEARCH ARCHIVES AT DOCS.RPGRESEARCH.COM
PLEASE BE KIND, PATIENT, AND UNDERSTANDING. WE ARE A 100% VOLUNTEER-RUN ORGANIZATION, SO IT CAN TAKE SOME TIME TO COMPLETE SUCH CONTENT MOVES. WE HAVE MORE THAN 10,000 CONTENT ITEMS THAT WE HAVE TO MANUALLY MIGRATE TO THE NEW PLATFORM, AND MUCH OF OUR CONTENT IS STILL SCATTERED ACROSS THE PREVIOUS PLATFORMS.
You can help us in this massive endeavor by volunteering today!

This page helps to provide role-playing games research (RPG research) in the language appropriate to various backgrounds to help you find the role-playing game research information you are looking for.
If you are a layperson such as a role-playing gamer, a parent/guardian of a gamer,, an educator, or healthcare professional, you may want to try the relevant pages that explain this site and projects more in your terminology.
NOTE: Any links to the organization RPG Research's research archives might not be currently accessible to the public due to recent insurance requirements.
Historically, for decades, our research archives have been 100% free and open to the public (to the extent permitted by copyright and privacy laws). We are doing all we can to get the added insurance necessary to allow us to re-open our research archives to the public. This requires substantial donations because the insurance companies consider this a high risk function.
Our research repository contains more than 10,000 content items on the effects of role-playing games, including thousands of items not available anywhere else in the world (such as the Paul Cardwell collection donated to RPG Research by the Paul Cardwell Estate, his widow Gladys Cardwell).
YOUR DONATION MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN OUR ABILITY TO AFFORD THE ANNUAL INSURANCE REQUIRED TO ENABLE US TO RE-OPEN THE WORLD'S LARGEST FREE AND OPEN RESEARCH REPOSITORY ON THE EFFECTS OF ROLE-PLAYING GAMES TO THE PUBLIC.
